Alani is slotted to be the foundation doe of my herd even though she was the third purchased. I love her bloodlines and her build. She is very sweet natured with about the best personality you could ask for. She is a willing milker and a great mother. She even has a soft voice that isn't likely to upset neighbors. She has already given me 3 kids (1 doeling and 2 bucklings) and I plan to keep every doeling that she produces... I may even keep one of her sons as a buckling to cross to my other two unrelated does (Diva and Tansy). She was shown by her previous owner and has already won 3 reserve championships and placed 4th in a milker class of 15 even though she was dry at the time. I will be showing her this year, although I think next year will be better for her. I will also be getting her scored on Linear Appraisal. I am completely happy with my purchase of Alani and couldn't have asked for better.
History:
Alani was bred, born and raised at the Boyd Barnyard in Monroe, WA. Her mother was a well bred doe of Rosasharn bloodlines who was used for showing both in 4-H and ADGA. Alani's mother received her Championship as an 8 year old doe shortly before I bought Alani. Alani's father is a buck out of the Castle Rock and Camanna lines. His mother was, CRF Castle Rock Lunar Eclipse, a Grand Champion doe with a nearly perfect linear appraisal score of VEEE91. His pedigree is riddled with champions through and through. As a young doeling Alani was shown several times and won three Reserve Champions. Then, as a two-year old was shown dry in a milker class and still won 4th out of 15 does.
