Cotton is very friendly, knows his name and walks on a leash. Cotton is our official lawn mower and is supposed to be a companion to our goat doelings, but he is big and they are afraid of him.
I bought Cotton in March 2017 from an ad on Craigslist after I went to the auction and could find no lambs or sheep. We wanted to get a sheep as a lawnmower and preferably wanted a friendly one that could be handled. His Craigslist ad said that he was friendly, walked on a leash and had a picture of him wearing a face halter like a horse. He was stated to have been born on Christmas day in 2016. His sire was said to be an East Fresian/Lacaune cross and his dam was said to be a Polypay/Romeldale cross. From what I can figure those are large meat and milk breeds that aren't supposed to have horns... since Cotton did start to develop horns, I am not positive that the stated pedigree is correct. However the average weight of the above breeds comes out to about 220 lbs, so that is our best estimate of what he will be.
